Interior painting and decorating — walls, ceilings, woodwork, doors, skirting, radiators, stairwells and feature walls. Surface prep, filler, sanding, mist coat, two top coats and a tidy, dust-controlled finish.
Who it's for
Homeowners refreshing a tired room or a whole house, landlords turning around a rental between tenancies, sellers wanting to maximise asking price, and businesses giving a customer-facing space a lift.
When you need it
Before the kids start drawing on the hallway again. Realistically — when the marks are starting to show and a wipe-down won't bring it back. Also: pre-sale, pre-tenancy, after plastering, or after a refurb.
Why professional help matters
A clean, well-prepared paint job lasts five years and looks it from day one. A rushed paint job looks rushed from the first morning of daylight. Prep is 70% of the work — and the bit you don't see is the bit you'll thank us for.
Small problems don't staysmall for long.
Most of the expensive repairs we see started as cheap ones that got ignored. Here's what we typically see — and what to look out for.
-
Skipped prep equals visible flaws
Painting over greasy walls, dusty plaster or unfilled cracks shows every flaw the moment the sun comes through the window.
-
Wrong paint, wrong surface
Matt emulsion on a high-traffic hallway is a false economy. Glossy gloss on a Victorian skirting looks plastic. We pick the right finish for the room and how it's used.
-
Dust and mess everywhere
A weekend DIY job often takes a fortnight to fully clean up. We protect floors, mask edges, and contain dust as we go.
From first call tofinished job.
- 01
Survey & colour chat
We assess the surfaces, note any repairs needed, and talk through colours and finishes (we can supply sample pots).
- 02
Prep the room
Furniture moved or sheeted, floors fully protected, sockets and edges masked, hardware removed where sensible.
- 03
Fill, sand, mist
Cracks and dents filled, sanded back, dust hoovered, and a mist coat applied to bare or fresh plaster.
- 04
Two top coats
Cut in by brush, rolled with a quality micro-fibre — even coverage, no flashing.
- 05
Detail & sign-off
Woodwork glossed or eggshelled, edges trimmed, masking removed, room reinstated. Walk-through before we leave.
The benefits, inplain English.
No vague claims — just the practical things you'll actually notice.
-
Lines you'd post on Instagram
Crisp, clean cuts between walls, ceilings and woodwork.
-
A finish that lasts
Trade-grade paints, proper prep — typically 5+ years before another repaint.
-
Minimal disruption
Rooms reinstated daily where possible. You can usually still live in the house.
-
Honest colour advice
We'll tell you if a colour will look great in your light or fight with your floor.
What's actuallyinvolved.
Most jobs are interior repaints, but we cover a wider scope than the typical Saturday DIYer. Below is the detail.
Walls & ceilings
Standard matt or wash-and-wear emulsion, including mist coats on new plaster, two top coats, with proper filling and sanding between coats where the surface needs it.
Woodwork
Skirting, architrave, doors, window boards and stair stringers — typically water-based satin or eggshell for modern durability without the yellowing of oil-based gloss.
Doors & frames
Painted in situ where possible, or removed and sprayed/painted off-frame for a glass-smooth finish on featured doors.
Stairwells & high ceilings
We carry the access equipment needed — towers, podiums, extension poles — so you're not paying for scaffold hire on standard heights.
Feature walls & wallpaper
Single accent walls, panelling effects, lining paper and standard wallpapers (heavily-patterned hand-trimmed papers quoted separately).
Landlord turnarounds
A full property — typically two bedrooms, living, hall, stairs and landing — refreshed in white or a light neutral inside a working week between tenancies.
Residential vs commercial
Commercial repaints (small offices, treatment rooms, cafés) scheduled outside opening hours where possible, with low-odour, fast-cure paints chosen so you can trade the next morning.
Honest pricing,written down.
Prices are guidance only and may vary by job. Final quotes are confirmed after a chat, photos, or a site visit.
